Make Your Own Foaming Clay Soap For Clean, Healthy Skin

It’s difficult for my acne-prone children to find soaps that don’t irritate their skin while also clearing up blemishes. Many soaps are too drying or exfoliating or don’t do enough to help clear their skin. Even though I don’t have acne anymore (most of the time), it is still a problem. I still have skin conditions like redness that are aggravated by soaps. This is one of the many reasons why I love this product! It soothes and helps to clear up skin problems.

It has been used for thousands of years for its healing and cleaning properties. The first documented use of medicinal clay was in Mesopotamia in 2500 B.C.!

These bars are so easy to make, and my family loves them! The clay gives the soap a foamy texture, and I feel clean after using this soap. It doesn’t feel stripped or dried. Next time, I will make extras and give them as gifts.

Foaming Clay Soap

You’ll need:

    • 2 lbs. melt-and-pour soap base
    • 2 oz. Bentonite Clay– My favorite brand, Redmond Clay, is made in my hometown.
    • silicone mold

Place the smaller pieces of soap base in a large microwave-safe bowl. The soap base can be heated in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time until it is completely melted.

The soap bars made from goat’s oatmeal milk were so easy to make that I made them in two batches, resulting in six bars. (Not including the time it took for the soap to set.)

If you place them on a flat surface in the refrigerator, this will speed up the setting process. Pour your soap into the molds, then place a tray under them. This will make it easier to transport to the refrigerator.

They make great party favors or gifts for baby showers or wedding showers. These would be great for a fancy touch in a guest bathroom when you have guests over. The look and feel of the tiles are expensive, but they are not.

Hope you enjoy this goat’s Milk Soap Tutorial with Sweet Almond Honey Oatmeal as much as I enjoyed it! I’ll be making soap again very soon.
