DIY Sugar Scrub Cubes- Key Lime

Yields: 12-15 DIY sugar scrub cubes

Materials

Coconut oil or another oil of your choice (if you prefer).

Use ivory soap.

Shea butter, 2 Tablespoons

Use 2-3 drops of Lime Green Soap Colorant

15-18 drops of lime essential oil

1 cup of granulated sugar

Silicone cube mold 12-15 count or ice tray

Before you begin, gather all your materials. You’ll need to move quickly once you start so that the shea butter and soap don’t harden again before you are ready.

Directions

1. Add the shea butter, coconut oil, and natural soap to a bowl that can be microwaved. The microwave is on 50% power for 30 seconds. Continue to stir and microwave at 50% power for 10-second increments until the chocolate is completely melted.

2. Remove the mixture from the microwave and give it a few stirs. Let the mixture cool for one minute.

3. Stir the soap colorant until you achieve your desired shade of green.

4. Add the sugar granules and stir well to combine.

5. Add the essential lime oil and stir it to distribute.

6. Fill your favorite silicone cube mold or ice tray to the top. Allow to cool in the refrigerator for two hours.

7. Store the DIY key lime sugar scrub bars in an airtight jar for up to six months.

How to Use

1. Rub your homemade sugar scrub cube onto your skin while in the shower or bathtub. Coconut oil and sugar together will exfoliate your skin. The key lime has an energizing, uplifting scent.

2. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft towel.

3. Apply your favorite moisturizing cream to your skin. You can use my coconut-lime DIY body butter.
